Overview

This course was created to help physical educators and sports professionals who work or intend to work with children and adolescents. The content is a combination of knowledge and previous experiences of the authors, including an experimental research conducted in 2015 in England. The Physis4 Youth Method was used as an intervention protocol at Teesside University to evaluate aspects of physical activity and motivation in teenagers. After the research study, the protocol was upgraded and has been used by professionals in different contexts to improve physical activity levels in children and teenagers.

This training is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to be able to plan and implement an exercise program for children and teenagers, within principles of Growth and Motor Development, Functional Training and Exercise Motivation.
